Week 19/2026
4th to 10th May 2026
-
There was an important meeting at the office on Wednesday, so the whole team was preparing for it. The meeting went well.
-
Nidhi went to Mausi’s place for summer break. She will come back by 18th May 2026.
-
Saturday was my birthday. I am 31 years old now. I was alone at home on my birthday this time. A friend called me and offered an old AC they were removing from the IT office. I went there to get it. The whole first half of the day went into that. I ate, slept for some time in the cooler, and in the evening went to see a puppet show at Scrapyard Theatre. It was an interesting show. Bansi came to meet me at the venue. We had a talk about magazine work.
-
Magazine work for the first issue is in its last phase — layout design and printing are still remaining. We are struggling to coordinate alongside our day jobs and other responsibilities. A lot of decision-making is part of this work. I am learning how to stay calm, stay focused, and make decisions. It should not affect your inner world, otherwise it will be difficult to survive in this type of work, where there is no monetary or other kind of gain.
-
After the important meeting at the office, and a discussion with Nidhi at home, we have decided to stay back in Ahmedabad for one more year. We will only move out if we get a good offer from APU. Work at the current organisation is a little unclear and uncertain, but we will figure it out.
-
I started working on 2 more side projects apart from the magazine work — curriculum development work, which I kind of enjoy. I need to fix the AC and buy a new chair so I can sit at my desk and work till late nights and on weekends.
-
I am also working with one artist on a documentation project.
-
Sunday morning I came to the office for some work. In the evening I again went to Scrapyard Theatre to see a new puppet show. I went there to observe how children and parents react to this type of experience, because I want to produce theatre for young audiences in the future as part of Khojbeen Mandali. The registration of Khojbeen Mandali is still in process. I have been waiting for this for a very long time. Because the registration process is delayed, funds are stuck.
-
I am feeling a little settled in Ahmedabad. If I crack the home management side of things and keep up with my side projects, it will be great. I am curious how people like Thej and Nemo manage to do so many side projects alongside their day jobs and family responsibilities.
