Unstructured Studio recently featured an interview with Nidhi, where she shares her inspiring journey as an educator.

→ I got to know about amazing work of Canopy Collective & educator Nayantra Siruguri in Place based education

→ I read about arshiya bose and her venture Black Baza Coffee Co

→ I prepared for the first session I am going to facilutate for sakha fellowship. It is about biology of money. I refered podcast from anand gandhi and kunal shah. I am very excited about this session, let’s see how it goes. Suraj made wonderful poster for the same.

→ On Monday I wrote an email to Adhvan about exploring tools for river mapping and tree mapping. He promptly replied and me, Nidhi and Adhvan had call on Tuesday evening. We asked for 30min call and it streched for an hour.

→ We talked about each other’s work, connection with weekly notes, blogs, funding, how can we collbrate and more.

→ He introduced some amazing apps for mapping specifically :

  1. He introduce us to app called every door which is open street map based app. Where you can map trees, building and other catagories through your mobile directly on OSM. You will need OSM account for this.

  2. Co Mapeo - Mapeo is a free digital toolset for documenting, monitoring, and mapping many types of data.

  3. OSM and - Offline Maps and Navigation

→ Day started with a short call with Srivi. It was long due. I was so happy that she remembered it and reached out. We talked about some collaboration opportunities :

  1. We can write academic paper around ‘Development of environmental aesthetic sense development in Indian Context’
  2. Collaborating with master’s student from srishti for their final capstone project.
  3. We also talked about how we tap in to grant / funding opportunities. May be Ram can help us in that. She also gave some ideas if I want to do masters / PhD kind of thing.

→ She shared interesting document by Arnold Berleant on Environmental Aesthetics

→ and a short film and post about her work with children in Chennai.

→ At DEFY, we started capacity building program for nook fellows.

→ I had a call Jahnvi from Surat. She is a design student from student and doing capstone project related to Nature Education. She is trying to create some kind of game / toolkit for younger children to connect them to the nature. We had primary conversation and share some ideas. We will talk more in detail soon.

→ office work → spent time on updating and maintaining this website. I have changed fonts, image on the homepage,changed method for image handling - now I use short code by hugo where I can define the size of the image. Also changed CSS, added code which make all the images on the website responsive. → While working I listened Aditya’s favorite playlist on ragya.com. Once again aditya for giving this wonderful gift to the world.

Jinal came to vadodra for one workshop at ark foundation. I met Jinal and shobha after the workshop and had quick lunch at alembic city.

To meet Jinal I went to the place early so I can attend my work meeting from there. I attend the meeting from neem tree outside the workshop venue. it was a best time…so grateful for those moments.
